There are over 400 recipes listed on the World Nutella Day website, nutelladay.com. You either love nutella or hate it. My husband who can eat a whole tube of Thin Mints Girl Scout Cookies at a time or a half a package of Chips Ahoy at one sitting would not eat one of these cookies. He loves any other kind of cookie but not if they have nutella in them. I, on the other hand, love nutella so I guess I will be eating all of these cookies. I used the oatmeal cookie recipe on the top of the lid of the Quaker Oats container and omitted the raisins.
Ingredients:
1 stick of butter softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 sug granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1-1/2 cups quaker oats, quick or old fashioned uncooked
5 oz. nutella
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat together butter and both sugars until creamy.
Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Add combined flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
Drop by tablespoons on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 9-11 minutes until golden brown. This recipe makes about 16 cookies. Cool for at least an hour before spreading nutella on one cookie and then put another same size cookie on top to make a cookie sandwich.
Enjoy! Susan
