July 4th Recipe Round-Up

With the 4th of July only a few days away we know many of you will be having BBQ's, traveling to parties or going down the shore to enjoy the beach and maybe some fireworks. With that in mind we put together a bunch of our favorite recipes that could help you celebrate the 4th. Below you will find a mix of fruity desserts, different kinds of salads and slaw as well as a few options for your grill.
Ahhh the summer!! It's finally in full swing and we are enjoying every possible moment of warm weather and sunshine. We spent this past weekend down the shore and had three perfect beach days in a row. Last night my parents and I took Owen to the beach to show him how to fly a kite. He loved watching it flutter in the sky. It was such a beautiful night with the sun setting and the waves crashing onto the shore.

We hope that all of you have a great week celebrating our nations holiday with your friends and family!! Have fun & Be Safe!!

Our Top 13 for 2013

We may be a few days late since it is no longer 2013 but we wanted to share with you our favorite recipes of the year. What can we say about 2013?? Well, it was a big year for Flavors by Four. For starters we were offered a contract to be one of the Shoprite Potluck blogs which entitles us to receive Shoprite brand products to use in our recipes. To celebrate I was asked to join the other Shoprite Potluck bloggers for a dinner during the NYC Wine & Food Festival at DeGustibus Cooking School in Macy's Herald Square. We also joined The Secret Recipe Club and have been contributing every month as one of the bloggers for the majority of the year. In October we co-hosted the Wonderful Wednesday Linky Party with Sinea from Ducks n' a Row for 5 weeks, which we will be doing again all this month.

2013 wasn't just a big year for the blog, it was an exciting year for our family as well. I welcomed my son Owen in March and for the last 9 and a half months he has been filling our hearts with love and joy. Being a mom is amazing and I can't believe how quickly he is growing up. We also found out that Owen will be getting a cousin from my sister Kelly by the end of the month.

We hope that 2014 is as successful and delicious as 2013 was. Wishing all of you health and happiness in the new year!!

So in no particular order here are our top 13 recipes of 2013:

Enjoy!!
