Finally - my favorite month of the whole year has finally arrived. I LOVE the month of June. It has four of the best things of the year in it - my anniversary, Father's Day, the longest lightest day of the year, and my birthday! The weather is usually near my perfect temperature (78 degrees) and I love that you can eat dinner at 8 o'clock and its still light outside.
These are the perfect thing to eat during my favorite month. A rich chocolate brownie topped with melted chocolate bar, crushed graham cracker crumbs and gooey warm marshmallows. The brownie recipe is from www.hersheys.com/recipes.
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 eggs
3/4 cup Hersheys Cocoa
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups mini marshmallows
1-1/2 cups crushed graham crackers or graham cracker crumbs
4-1.5 oz milk chocolate Hershey bars broken in pieces
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan.
Place butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave at medium or melt setting for 2 minutes or until melted. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add in eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Add cocoa, beat until well blended. Add flour, baking powder and salt.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Top with mini marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs and broken pieces of chocolate bars. Put back into oven for 3-4 minutes until chocolate and marshmallows are soft.
Take out of oven and cool before cutting into bars.
Enjoy!! Susan
