Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf

Since everything I have made lately has been with pumpkins or apples I thought I would switch it up a bit and bake something for Sam with bananas.  I brought her a few loaves of this last weekend when we went to see her.  It was very moist and filled with chocolate chips.  This is a variation of the Raspberry Chocolate Banana Bread.  Go Yankees!!

Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup chocolate chip
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup applesauce
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add chocolate chips.  Set aside.

In a separate bowl blend together bananas, applesauce, milk and eggs.

Pour over flour mixture and stir until just blended.

Spread into greased 9 x 5 loaf pan.  Bake in center of oven for 50 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.  Let cool before slicing.

Enjoy!  Susan
